Welcome to the "Dutch Laboratory Site",

The Dutch Laboratory Site (laboratorium = laboratory) is the interactive internetsite for employees of the Dutch biomedical and chemical laboratories. The aim of the website is to obtain and/or to exchange information on all kind of subjects concerning laboratories and their employees. The site is active since May 1 2000 and has at the moment at least 1.400 visitors per day.

You can navigate through the site by clicking on the buttons in the leftcolumn. There is the latest news [nieuws] out of the laboratory world and information about the different laboratories in the biomedical [biomedisch]and chemical [chemisch] area with there subdisciplines and others [overige labs] such as toothtechnical laboratories, aerospace laboratories and forensic laboratories.
The directions 'Biological/Medical' and 'Chemical' are subdivided in het different categories of laboratory techniques respectively Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Botany, Cytology/Histology, Clinical Chemistry, Medical Microbiology, Medical Research, Zoology, and Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Ecology, Organic Chemistry, Polymers, Chemical Technology.

In the upper bar at the different directions you find buttons for educations [opleidingen], trainingfacilities for laboratory employees [trainingen], societies of laboratory directions [verenigingen], specific websites [links] and specific news [nieuws].
Furthermore, there is a facility for placing vacancies [vacatures], persons seeking employment [werkzoekenden] and trainees [stages] (supply and demand).

The heading [de analist] (the technician) contains a discussion forum, in which you can place a question that can be answered by other visitors, a guestbook [gastenboek] for placing remarks etc, a list with job descriptions [functiebeschrijvingen] and a helpdesk with a lot of adresses and telephone numbers.

With the help of industries and suppliers of laboratory equipment we can keep The Dutch Laboratory Site 'alive and kicking'. When you are interested in placing an advertizing banner, you can fill in the data behind the button [adverteren] (advertize).

Foreign laboratory employees are hearty invited to visit The Dutch Laboratory Site.
